There are a lot of amazing WordPress and WordPress development podcasts out there. I should know, I listen to a lot of them.

My name is Jonathan Bossenger, and I’m a WordPress developer from Cape Town South Africa. I officially joined the WordPress community in 2015 and since then I’ve tried to find as many WordPress development related podcasts I could find.

As a developer, the type of podcast I am keenly interested in listening to is one dedicated to other WordPress developers like me. Hacking, coding, programming, call it what you will, I want to talk to and learn from the people who build WordPress, build products for WordPress or use WordPress for their company or client projects.

(Note, when I first wrote the above description, I hadn’t yet heard of the Apply Filters podcast. After their decision to retire the podcast, this statement rings even more true today.)

The only requirement is that you consider yourself a programmer or coder. So, if on a daily basis, you spend the majority of your time wrangling PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML or CSS, I want to hear your story.

To give you an idea of the kinds of things I want to talk about, I’ve listed a few sample questions I’ll be asking:

If you could change one aspect of WordPress today, what would it be?

If you had to start your development career over, what would you change and why?

What is the biggest negative about using WordPress?

If this is the kind of conversation you would like to have on this podcast, then head on over to the Let’s chat page and fill in the form.
